There is a winner!
I've been second guessed. There is one entrant, among the more than 300, who already knows this year's Field&Floor Final Four color guards. Congratulations; you'll know who you are on Friday.
Before the jump, and the list of the Sweet 16 guards, some statistics. It seems that having a name that begins with a letter in the first half of the alphabet helped this year. (Yes, too much calculating time on my hands.) Nevertheless, of the Top 32, 18 guards' names begin with the letters A-M.
As for class breakdown, this was an independent year. Independent guards placed 19 units in the Top 32, to 13 for scholastic units. Independent World paced the classes at nine, followed by Independent Open at seven and Scholastic World at six.
The Sweet 16, below, has a curious mix across the classes ... as it should. Congratulations to them all.
